Allison Budvarson Moderates Panel Discussion
Industry leaders kick off the first panel discussion on Sept. 15 at the Davenport Grand hotel in Spokane. Speakers include:
- Michael Senske, CEO of Pearson Packaging
- Lisa Brown, director of the state Department of Commerce
- Michael Schutzler, CEO of the Washington Technology Industry Association
- Spencer Cohen, an economist and founder of High Peak Strategy.

Washington employers are facing big challenges. The event will be providing updates on topics such as pandemic recovery, finding skilled and qualified workforce, the new capital gains tax, data privacy, and more.

The agenda also includes a discussion on higher education and the future of workforce development with Washington education leaders:

- Christine Johnson, chancellor of Spokane Community College
